Seasonal Stain Removal: Cleaning Up After Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter
1. Spring Stains: Mud, Grass, and Pollen
- Let the Mud Dry: Allow mud to dry completely before treating it. Once dry, gently brush off as much dirt as possible.
- Pre-Treat with Detergent: Apply a liquid detergent to the stain and rub it in gently with a soft brush. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then wash in warm water.
- Use Vinegar for Stubborn Stains: For persistent mud stains, apply a mixture of white vinegar and water, then launder as usual.
- Avoid Rubbing: Do not rub or brush off pollen, as this can push the stain deeper into the fabric.
- Lift with Sticky Tape: Use sticky tape to gently lift pollen particles off the fabric.
- Rinse and Treat with Detergent: Rinse the fabric in cold water and treat with a stain remover or detergent before laundering.
