. Blood Blunder: Peroxide Power

Blood stains can be stubborn, but hydrogen peroxide is an excellent solution to lift them out quickly:

  1. Blot the Stain: Use a clean cloth or paper towel to blot any excess blood. Avoid scrubbing, which can spread the stain.

  2. Hydrogen Peroxide Application: Pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide directly on the stain. You’ll see it start to bubble as it reacts with the blood, breaking it down.

  3. Gently Blot Again: After a minute or two, blot the area with a clean cloth to lift the stain. Repeat if needed until the stain fades.

  4. Cold Water Rinse: Rinse the fabric with cold water to remove any remaining peroxide and loosened blood particles.

  5. Laundry Detergent Treatment: Apply a small amount of liquid detergent and gently work it in to tackle any remaining traces. Let sit for 5 minutes, then rinse again.

  6. Cold Wash: Launder in cold water, avoiding hot water as it can set any remaining stain. Air-dry and inspect before placing in the dryer to ensure the stain is fully gone.

This peroxide method is highly effective for blood stains, leaving your fabrics clean and stain-free!
