Ink Blot Drama: Removing Pen Marks Like a Pro

Ink stains can be tough, but with these steps, you’ll have no trouble getting rid of them:

  1. Blot, Don’t Rub: Gently blot the ink stain with a paper towel or cloth to soak up as much ink as possible without rubbing, which can spread the stain.

  2. Rubbing Alcohol Treatment: Place a paper towel under the stained area and dab rubbing alcohol onto the ink with a cotton swab. Blot from the edges toward the center to lift the ink. Replace the paper towel underneath as it absorbs ink.

  3. Vinegar and Cornstarch Paste for Persistent Ink: Mix white vinegar with a bit of cornstarch to create a paste. Apply it to the stain, let it dry, and then brush off the paste. Rinse the area with cold water.

  4. Dish Soap for Extra Cleaning Power: For any lingering marks, apply a few drops of dish soap to the stain, let it sit for 5 minutes, then rinse with cold water.

  5. Pre-Treat with Laundry Detergent: Apply a small amount of liquid laundry detergent, rub it in gently, and let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing well with cold water.

  6. Wash in Cold Water: Launder the item in cold water to prevent setting any remaining ink and air-dry to ensure the stain is gone.

With these steps, you’ll handle any ink blot drama like a pro!
