Orange Juice Oops: Citrus Stain Solution

Citrus stains may seem tricky, but these steps will help lift them with ease:

  1. Blot the Stain: Use a paper towel or clean cloth to blot up as much juice as possible without rubbing, which can spread the stain.

  2. Cold Water Rinse: Rinse the back of the stain with cold water to push out as much of the orange juice as possible.

  3. White Vinegar Solution: Mix one part white vinegar with two parts cold water, then dab the stain with a cloth soaked in this solution. Vinegar helps neutralize the acidity of the juice and lift the color.

  4. Baking Soda Paste for Tough Stains: For stubborn stains, make a paste with baking soda and water, apply it to the stain, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Baking soda works to absorb any remaining juices and color.

  5. Apply Liquid Laundry Detergent: Rub a small amount of liquid detergent into the stain, let it sit for another 5-10 minutes, then rinse well with cold water.

  6. Wash in Cold Water: Launder in cold water, as warm water can set the stain. Air-dry to ensure the stain is gone.

With these steps, orange juice stains will be a thing of the past!
