Pizza Grease Panic: Fight the Oil Stains

Pizza grease stains can be stubborn, but these steps will help lift the oil with ease:

  1. Blot, Don’t Rub: Gently blot the stain with a paper towel to absorb as much grease as possible. Avoid rubbing, as this can spread the oil deeper into the fabric.

  2. Apply Baking Soda or Cornstarch: Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda or cornstarch over the grease stain. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes to absorb the oil, then brush off the powder. Repeat as needed.

  3. Dish Soap Solution: Apply a few drops of dish soap to the stain, gently working it into the fabric. Dish soap is designed to cut through oils, making it perfect for greasy stains. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with cold water.

  4. White Vinegar for Tough Stains: For any lingering grease, dab a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water on the stain, let it sit for a few minutes, and rinse with cold water. This helps lift and break down oils.

  5. Pre-Treat with Laundry Detergent: Rub liquid laundry detergent directly into the stain, let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse well with cold water.

  6. Cold Water Wash: Launder the fabric in cold water to avoid setting the grease, and air-dry to ensure the stain is fully gone before applying heat.

With these steps, you’ll keep your fabrics grease-free and looking great!
