Pomegranate Plunge: Salt and Lemon Power

Pomegranate stains can be notoriously tough, but with this salt-and-lemon trick, they don’t stand a chance:

  1. Blot, Don’t Rub: Start by blotting the stain with a clean paper towel to absorb as much juice as possible. Avoid rubbing, which can spread the stain further.

  2. Sprinkle Salt: Generously sprinkle salt over the stain while it’s still damp. Salt acts as an abrasive and helps lift color from the fabric.

  3. Rub with Lemon: Cut a fresh lemon and rub it directly over the salt-covered stain. The citric acid in lemon juice works to break down the stain’s pigments, while the salt boosts the effect.

  4. Let It Sit: Allow the lemon and salt mixture to sit for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with cold water. The stain should noticeably fade.

  5. Apply Liquid Detergent: For any remaining stain, gently rub in a small amount of liquid laundry detergent, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse.

  6. Cold Water Wash: Wash the fabric in cold water and air-dry to check if the stain is fully removed.

These steps will help you tackle pomegranate stains with ease!
